What this medicine is for


An antiseptic mouthwash and gargle for the relief of mouth and throat infections, for use after dental surgery and for mouth hygiene.




Before you use this medicine



Do not use:



  • If you are allergic to any of the ingredients


  • For long periods of time



Talk to your pharmacist or doctor:


  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding




How to use this medicine


Check the cap seal is not broken before first use. If it is, do not use the medicine.



Adults and children of 6 years and over:


Thoroughly rinse the mouth, or gargle, with at least 15 ml (one tablespoonful). Use this amount 2 or 3 times a day. There is no need to dilute the medicine.


Do not swallow the medicine.



Do not use for children under 6 years.


Do not use more than the amount recommended above.



If symptoms do not go away talk to your pharmacist or doctor.


If anyone accidentally swallows a large amount: Talk to a doctor straight away.





Possible side effects


Most people will not have problems, but some may get some of these:


  • Feeling sick, being sick


If any side effect becomes severe, or you notice any side effect not listed here, please tell your pharmacist or doctor.



Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.


Use by the date on the label edge.




Active ingredient


This mouthwash contains Cetylpyridinium Chloride 0.025% w/v.


Also contains: purified water, alcohol, sorbitol, cetomacrogol, levomenthol, sodium bicarbonate, methyl salicylate, peppermint oil, saccharin, quinoline yellow (E104), patent blue V (E131).
